Von Miller signing massive contract with Bills
Former Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller is signing a six-year, $120 million contract with the Buffalo Bills, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. That’s a huge average of $20 million per season.
The six-year deal includes $51.5 million guaranteed, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday evening.
Miller (6-3, 250 pounds) was selected by the Broncos with the second overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft after a standout career at Texas A&M. He went on to spend nine and a half years with the Broncos before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams mid-way through the 2021 season.
Miller totaled 225 quarterback hits, 110.5 sacks and 26 forced fumbles in 142 games in Denver. He recorded eight quarterback hits and five sacks in eight regular season games with the Rams last season.
In the playoffs, Miller totaled four more sacks for L.A. in 2021.
After earning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in his first season, Miller went on to earn eight Pro Bowl nods and has won a pair of Super Bowls in his career. The 32-year-old edge defender is also a member of the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team.
Miller ranks No. 1 on the Broncos’ all-time sack list.
